The Fall
Genesis 2-25
Adam and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame.
Genesis 3-7
Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.
Who remembers there own childhood, who remembers there transition going from childhood to adolescent. One day you feel no shame, the next day you do.
If you and I can remember it, why shouldn’t the people of ancient times, at that time, remember it. And how would you articulate this in the philosophy of the time. In those days there were the stories, good stories contain recognition, a transferable wisdom, answers to questions you didn’t know.
Why not copy this story, the sudden transition is clarified, whether it is correct or not, it saves a lot of thinking.
And I really think there were multiple stories on this subject but at some point this story stuck as a reasonable explanation of what happened. The philosophy of that time.
